Krishnas cuisine
Krishnas Cuisine is a vegan restaurant currently located at Majorstuen in Colosseum. They opened in 1992, and have served the same popular dishes. The menu is Indian based and they have a warm lunch every day for take away or to sit and eat. The food is super tasty and they really make high quality meals. Highly recommend their papadam as well! It’s not the most beautiful place to sit down and eat, but its definitely worth it.
Nordvegan
Nordvegan is the perfect place to eat lunch is you are in Oslo for they day. They are one of those restaurant that make is really easy to be vegan, and to show other people how abundant you actually get to eat! They have many delicious dishes. They don’t have a fixed menu, it changes every day so be sure to follow them on Instagram to find out what they serve today! One of our favorites is the spring rolls (of course) and the curry. It’s our go-to for dinner when we don’t feel like making it ourselves! They serve both lunch and dinner and take away.

Kumi
Kumi is a vegetaran café based in Grønland serving breakfast and lunch all day. The café is really beautiful, so if you are interested in interior design and photos, this is a good place to go. The food is based on organic and locally sources produce free from additives, chemicals and sugars. If you don’t want to eat in house you can do take away, and they also have (more) sustainable packaging. We love the Mexican bowl and the sweet potato fries with vegan aoli and we can’t wait to try the new vegan pancakes. Check our instagram here.

Kvadrat salat
Kvadrat salat is a little salad shop where you can buy a really good salad for lunch, It’s perfect if you are bringing food back to the office, or can eat your lunch outside. They recently got more sustainable packaging as well, which is great! Love their sweet potatoes and marinated broccolis. YUM
The Fragrance of the heart
The Fragrance of the heart was actually one of the first places we ate vegan in Oslo in 2014 and they were probably one of the first places in Oslo serving vegan food. It’s a vegetarian restaurant serving meals like black bean burgers, soups, vegetable curry and much more. They have two locations in Oslo, one by Rådhuset and the other one right by Majorstuen station. Cozy place and really delicious and home made food.
Funky Fresh foods
Funky Fresh foods was actually the second vegan place we tried in Oslo. It’s a 100 % vegan café, and they also do catering and make their own products and teach different courses. In addition to this, they are certified Debio Silver, meaning 50-95% of all of their produce is organic. Funky Fresh Foods have a varied menu and it’s a perfect place to bring people who are skeptical of vegan food and maybe scared they will not be full after a meal. If you don’t eat gluten your options might be a bit more limited, but you will still find something delicious to eat.
Sentralen
Sentralen is a old bank location dating all the way back to 1822. The bank was a social initiative, created to serve the working class of Oslo. In 2014 Sentralen opened their doors again after many years of renovation, and today, there are 350 cultural producers and social innovators working at Sentralen. Pretty cool building. Anyways you wanted to know about the food!
In the café the have chia pudding, vegan wraps, salads, some sweets and soups (mostly without milk but you have to ask). In the afternooons they heat up the pizza oven - with vegan pizza as an option! They also have plant-based milk for the coffee. In the restaurant (which is next to the café) they serve pumpkin salat with cashew cream, spicy cauliflower with lots of yummy sauses. If you have allergies you should call ahead and ask them if they have anything you can eat before you arrive.
BIT Union
At BIT, you can mix yourself a fresh salad to stay or to go. We actually tried it for the first time just recently, even though its right by our place.
LETT
Lett is a food chain serving salads, wraps, juices and some sweet treats. You can choose between the fixed options or mix your own bowl/wrap.

Dinner
Silk Road
Silk Road is an all vegan dining concept inspired from cuisines all over the world, and their produce is mostly organic. On top of that, they donate 20 kr from the sale of each tasting menu to charity! At their Skillebekk location they offer casual fine dining, cocktails, wine and beer, and at Torggata they serve what they call creative streetfood. We have yet to try this one out, but they have recieved amazing reviews from critiques and we can’t wait to check it out.
Foodshack
Vegan fast food place at Oslo Streetfood. They have dishes like jackfruit wraps and burgers, Beyond burger and baked potato wedges. All dishes can be made gluten free!
Talormade
Talormade is a new doughnnut & coffee shop at Storo. They just started making small batches of vegan doughuts! And they have oatmilk for the coffee. Try them!

Beijing 8
Beijing 8 serves food from a traditional Chinese cuisine - such as dumplings and tea. They have vegan dumplings and side dishes.
Monsun
Monsoon is an asian restaurant at Grünerløkka. They have their own vegan meny wish dishes like spring rolls, summer rolls, buns and fried dumplings.
Holy cow
Holy Cow is an Indian streetfood restaurant in the middle of Oslo center. They have lunch and dinner plates where you can go for the vegan or veggie option, and some side dishes like pakora, roti, and okra fingers that are vegan. A good place to stop by foor lunch or dinner!
Hanami
At the beautiful japanese style restaurant Hanami you can call ahead to order a vegan menu. It is super tasy and delicately presented, just like the restaurant. A good place to go with a group of non-vegans and vegans! Its quite fancy, so put on your nice shoes :)

Der Peppern Gror
Der Peppern Gror gives you traditional indian dishes served in an authentic vibe at their Rådhuset location. You get to choose the spice strenght too! The dishes range between homestyle cooking, streetfood, tandoris, specials and desserts. We love the Tadka Daal, Bhindo Do Payaza, and Miss Roti among others. They have quite a few vegan options and are glad to help you choose!
C’est le Bab
C´est le Bab focuses on local produce, made with inspiration from all over the world. They mostly serve fancy kebabs, but they also have some really good vegan dishes, such as marinated artichoke kebab, hummus and grilled artichokes.

Einer
Einer is a nordic inspired restaurant with a focus on making food the old fashioned way. They are located at Kvadraturen in Prinsensgate. They have two menus, one with fish & meat and one vegetarian. You will get 4 courses for 730 kr.
Hrimnir Ramen
At Hrímnir they explore traditional culinary techniques from the Nordics and Japan - smoking, preserving, fermenting and grilling, among others - and create a new dimension of the traditional Japanese dish ramen. Hrímnir means “covered in soot/char” and stems from old Norse language. They use local, seasonal, organic and wild ingredients because they believe in supporting local economies, responsible environmental stewardship and healthy food. Right up our alley!
Tunco
Healthy, tasty woks is what best describes Tunco! In a very short time they have expanded to numerous location in Oslo, and no wonder - because they food is delicious. Every time you eat at TUNCO you give a meal to a child in need. Our fav is Seul mate!
Coyo
Coyo is a really nice Mexican restaurant located at Sørenga. Many of the dishes can be made vegan and they also have vegan cheese and guacamole made as fresh as can be. Got their vegan tacos recommended by the most picky non-vegans - so its good!
Palmyra café
Delicious traditional food from Sri Lanka, serving a wide variety of curries. They have a vegan dish with various curries, pappalam and salad. They also serve mango lassis.

Sentralen
Sentralen must be mentioned again, as they offer delicious vegan pizza in their cafe during weekdays from 13-20.
Loving hut
One of the first vegan restaurants in Oslo of we are not mistaken. They serve vegan burgers, kebabs. spring rolls, pizzas, vegan steak, vegan sushi.

REST
Fine dining on food waste, Rest is definitely one of the coolest concepts in Oslo. They serve a menu based on the ingredients they have available and that would otherwise be thrown away. Call ahead if you have allergies and they will work around it.
Leon
Healthy fast food with lots of vegan options. They have hummus, Brazilian black beans, vegan falafel wrap, and salad among other things.
Dattera til hagen
Dattera til hagen has one of Oslos coziest backyards, and is a good place to spend late summer nights in Oslo. During the daytime its a cozy café. Oh and they have vegan pizza!
Koie
Ramen made by the pros. They have vegan options but ask ahead so that you don’t get fish sause.
Habibi
Palestinian food and they also serve traditional mezah. Perfect place to bring friends and share meals. They are famous for their hummus. They also serve mezeh without meat, with hummus, pita, Baba ghanuj and more!

SKAAL matbar
New place at Grünerløkka. Seasonal food, if possible locally sources and a focus on sustainability. We like the concept! Haven’t tried it out yet, but many of you recommend the place. They serve food in small dishes, and one of the vegan options is crispy eggplant, jalapeño salsa and hummus. Yum!

Liebling
One of our favorite cafes in Oslo! The vibe is so goods and its a great place to bring friends or the Mac and just work for a couple of hours while eating a delicious Acai bowl or a toast with beet hummus and avocado, peanut butter and banan. They also have delicious lattes, kombucha and coffee and drinks in the evening!
