I love drinking golden milk or turmeric latte. Since I don't drink coffee, this is a good type of “pick-me-up” in the afternoon. It’s spicy and sweet at the same time, super delicious. Many cafes have started offering this now, but its also super easy to make at home!
In ayurvedic traditions, turmeric latte is said to calm the mind. Curcumin, which is a compound in turmeric, is also said to have lots of health benefits.
You need:
1 cup plant-based milk (I prefer Oatly barista)
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cardamom
1 pinch of black pepper
How to:
Add everything to a small casserole. Whisk it thoroughly until the milk starts to foam a bit. You can also use a milk steamer. Make sure it doesn't boil. Serve warm ✨
